Violinist Roman Yearian is from Bellingham, Washington. Roman began his studies with his grandmother and then with Sandra Payton and Walter Schwede in Bellingham. He attended the Lynn Conservatory of Music where he studied with Elmar Oliveira and finished his Bachelors of Music at the University of Texas at Austin as a student of Brian Lewis. Roman is currently Principal Second Violin of the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Guanajuato and a violin teacher at El Sistema Bajío in León, México. He has also performed with the Florida Orchestra, Austin Symphony and Opera, and New World Symphony. In his spare time, Roman enjoys spending time outdoors.
